Good News in every language

Who We Are

What if you couldn’t read the most important book in the world?

For approximately 1,000 language groups around the world, this is their reality. Wycliffe Australia is dedicated to bringing hope and transformation by partnering with communities to translate the Bible into their own heart language — the language that reaches deepest, that speaks most truly of who they are.

Founded in Australia in 1954, Wycliffe Australia sends Australian Christians to contribute to the global Bible translation movement — supporting translators, missionaries, and national organisations across the Pacific, Asia, and beyond. From linguists and theologians to teachers, administrators and pastoral carers, people from all walks of life have found their part in this vital work.

The work continues
