In the 1950’s, Ruth Myers and her sister married twin brothers who were living in Asia, serving poor communities. Sadly, a few years later, Ruth’s husband was diagnosed with aggressive cancer, leaving Ruth a single mother of two infants. Returning to the United States, Ruth eventually married Warren and together they served for many years back in Asia. After a fruitful season of teaching the Bible and writing many books centred on enjoying a satisfied life in Christ, Ruth’s second husband also passed away after a prolonged cancer journey, leaving Ruth a grieving, yet hope-filled widow once more. We honour Ruth Myers and thank God for the courageous faith she inspires to grieve in healthy ways, and build our lives around Jesus as our deepest source of healing and joy.
